Why should we fight for green????????????

In the past few years, the world has experienced devastating natural disasters on a level that hasn’t been seen for decades. There is much speculation that these especially strong phenomena are due to global climate change, brought on by Global Warming. The term ‘Global Warming’ refers to the rising temperature of the earth due to an increased amount of greenhouse gases. The scientific community as a whole has determined through all research that global warming is a problem caused by human influence.

This warming of the globe could potentially alter sea level, crop yield and rain fall, and could increase the intensity and frequency of natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and droughts.

Even if we stopped emitting greenhouse gases (GHGs) today, the Earth would still warm by another degree Fahrenheit or so. But what we do from today forward makes a big difference. Depending on our choices, scientists predict that the Earth could eventually warm by as little as 2.5 degrees or as much as 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

A commonly cited goal is to stabilize GHG concentrations around 450-550 parts per million (ppm), or about twice pre-industrial levels. This is the point at which many believe the most damaging impacts of climate change can be avoided. Current concentrations are about 380 ppm, which means there isn't much time to lose. According to the IPCC, we'd have to reduce GHG emissions by 50% to 80% of what they're on track to be in the next century to reach this level.

  1. Sure...the carbon content should be reduced if we want to live longer. But for this we have to take some steps on our own. We can't wait for the government to give us instructions. We have to fight to save earth coz its a beautiful place nd we need to take care of it.

Also there is a song on the theme of 'Global warming' called "A beautiful lie" by the band ' 30 seconds to mars'.

Q2 Who copied n pasted it??

Q3 Against whom we have to fight for green??

Q4 How many of the readers (till now and for the future as well) have planted any tree by their own hands and took care of it?? (Two)

Q5 How many of us have actually taken any step for this "fyt"?? eg. How many of us do actually prefer public transport even when they have a vehicle actually standing at your home??(I don't)

    Anyways a very nice article...

PS : Does anyone knows tha famous documentry on the enviornment?? Please tell me, I just saw a glimpse of it once and was not able to know its name... Thanks in advance..
